Nikki, do you have a picture of it? I will take a look if you want. I have seen some plants with similar heads also, but they were totally different plants. It is hard to identify sometimes, I know! Just keep asking people and looking in your books and on the net. Soon you'll get a positive ID.

I am having trouble positively identifying Self-Heal. I am pretty darn sure that it is growing in my yard, and even more so after reading your blog. I had a very similar spiritual experience with a plant I *think* is it, as I sat down with it to study it. Wow, that part gives me the goose-bumps!

Ok, so the problem is that the flower head looks just like it, but my leaves are different than any I have seen in any pictures on the web, or in a book. *Sigh* I know there can be differences due to regions, but how can I figure it out?

I would love some advice!

This is good to know. As soon as my Self Heal starts to grow again, I plan on spending some time getting to know this intriguing plant better. I'll be posting more on this topic soon! Thanks for reading!

I love Self Heal, as a flower essence producer I find it is a wonderful activator for any of the essence combinations I put together. I also add it in any skincare oils I put together as it has great healing ability for the skin.
