As a therapist I always have to caution my clients to stop when their body is sending them messages like this.
Also we are the ones everyone else comes to when they need help, therefore we need to be in good health in order to be able to help others, by listening to our bodies and then - as you did - finding what most nurtures and nourishes us we become good Way Showers for others.
Thanks for the tip about using the coffee press, I am allergic to coffee and have been wondering what to do with my old cafetiere, now I know!

Lovely post, Tammy! I think we "wonder women" are often the worst at listening to our bodies until we finally hear the little voice which says "sleep", "nourish" etc. I know when I'm not feeling 100%, I get really angry at not being able to stay up all hours and do all the things I drive myself to do - not things which are imperative, but those I feel are important. Having suffered a week of jetlag and not being able to sleep properly, I'm coming to the conclusion I shall have to cut my commitments and revise my herbal allies if I really want to be up to strength to cope with the next few months. I use a cafatiere for herbal teas as well - it's great for work!

yep, it strains them! I love it. It is a french coffee press... so much easier to use on the go, like when I take my infusions to work, I don't have to worry with bringing a strainer too. It doesn't seal the jar as well as a canning lid would, though, so I'm sure something is lost in the escaping steam. I use the canning jars when I'm going to be home.

So glad to hear that you're feeling better!

Does that jar in the picture automatically strain out your herbs? If so, I'm going to have to add something like that to my Yule list...
