So Great of you for taking in nuisance, he came to you. He knew as all the strays knew to come to our house when I was a kid, my mom had a way with animals. But you will see how they enrich us. A true gift. My rescued Pup Rose and my 16 year old sabina(cat) have to live apart too. Sabina goes in the basement for the night. But they have learned to get along with supervision during the day. I will not tolerate Rose being bad around her. So now she follows Sabina around the house. And they actually seem to like the attention.
I am recently trying to learn all about herbs and herbal healing. I grew up on organic and natural foods in the 60's and 70's and did yoga when it was not the norm. Now I want to relearn what I forgot as life moved on. So happy to find your herbal blog!
Happy New year!

I know what you mean about not fighting what seems inevitable. We've had a few cats "adopt" us over the years. And we haven't regretted a one.

Good luck and happy holidays!

She sounds like she had quite the personality which makes the memories all the more fond! I love animals with a bit of a 'tude. If they are black all the better!

It might take a very long time, but the cat and dog just may coem to an understanding and start getting along.

We were also chosen two summers ago by a very small kitten who showed up in the middle of the night. Now, our Serephina is still very affectionate and will panic if we don't tell her we will be back (she cries through the house while we are gone).

I believe she was sent to us to help ease the passing of my dear friend Nemisis, for when she left I truly felt I'd never love another cat.

Blessings to you and your lovely animal friends.

I love the new kitty! Sometimes they are sent to us because of what WE need. Our cat Chicken came to us much in the same way and we have been together 10 years now. Judging by the blissful look on BOTH of your faces in the second picture, this was one of those little angels that was needed. Blessings on you both!

We used to have a female, solid black manx (no tail). She was absolutely beautiful, but not the least bit sociable. She would never cuddle or let us pet her for long, but if we would go for a walk, she would go too, except she would stay about 50 feet behind us at all times, and if we turned around to look her way, she would quickly sit down and look off in the other direction. ROFL!!! She truly had an attitude, lol.
